Product Description
Flashback® Iron-On Reflective Tape is a heat-applied reflective tape designed for adding visibility to clothing, bags, costumes, accessories and textile projects. The silver reflective surface helps improve visibility in low-light conditions when illuminated by headlights, torches or other direct light sources.
This iron-on reflective tape is ideal for craft projects, costume design, casual clothing, bags, textile work and non-regulated workwear where extra visibility is useful. The heat-activated adhesive backing can be applied using a household iron or heat press, making it a practical alternative where sewing is not preferred.

Suitable Materials
This iron-on reflective tape is suitable for many heat-tolerant fabrics, subject to testing. Fabric compatibility can vary depending on material type, surface finish, coating, stretch, texture and heat sensitivity. Always test first on a small hidden area before full application.
Do not use on fabrics that may melt, scorch, shrink, distort or lose performance under heat. Do not use on flame-resistant garments, waterproof membranes, coated technical fabrics, protective clothing or garments where certification must be maintained.

Application Instructions
- Place the tape with the darker adhesive side face-down onto the fabric.
- Make sure the lighter, shiny reflective side is facing upwards.
- Cover the tape with baking paper, a cotton cloth or a Teflon pressing sheet.
- Set the iron to approximately 130–150°C, medium-high / cotton setting. Do not use steam.
- Press firmly for 10–15 seconds per section. Do not slide the iron.
- Allow the tape to cool fully.
- Gently peel away the clear protective layer from the reflective surface.
- Re-press edges if needed, using a protective sheet.
- For delicate projects, apply heat from the back side of the fabric where suitable.
- Always test on a small hidden area before full application.

- Do not apply heat directly to the reflective surface

FAQ
Which side goes down?
The darker adhesive side goes face-down onto the fabric. The lighter, shiny reflective side should face upwards during application.
Do I remove the clear protective layer before ironing?
No. Apply the tape first, allow it to cool fully, then gently peel off the clear protective layer.
Can I iron directly onto the reflective tape?
No. Always use baking paper, a cotton cloth or a Teflon pressing sheet to avoid direct contact with the reflective surface.
Can this be washed?
The tape has wash durability up to 25 cycles, subject to fabric, application, washing method and conditions. Wash gently and avoid harsh treatment where possible.
Is this suitable for PPE or certified workwear?
No. This tape is for craft, casual clothing and non-regulated visibility use only. It is not suitable for certified PPE, flame-resistant clothing or regulated safety garments.
What if my fabric is heat-sensitive?
Do not use this tape on fabrics that may melt, scorch, shrink or distort under heat. Test first, or consider sew-on reflective tape instead.
